Would The Writing Score On The Act Test Affect College Admission Decisions Even If I Got A Good Composite?

I got a 25 composite score on the act, but I got a bad score on the ACT writing. Would this make a difference in college admissions even if I dont plan to be an english major?
P.S. I’m hoping for admission to Michigan State

It won’t make much of a difference. I recommend you take it again, though, since standards for OSU (Ohio State) and MSU are both going up. OSU accepted 25′s last year, but year they hardly accepted anyone below high 20′s. I presume MSU will be doing the same thing, I got lucky and got into OSU because I studied a little and did well on the ACT. I hope you will retake the ACT if you can and then you should be fine into getting into MSU if you do well. Especially, if you can improve your score by a large amount (i.e. 25 to 30). It will help you a lot!
