Is It Necessary To Know All The Words In A Good Wordlist To Take Sat Reasoning Test??
Is it necessary to know lots of words in english to get a score >2000 in SAT REASONIG TEST????
Is it possible to remember all the words in a given wordlist?? Please suggest a good wordlist available in the internet…..
You know, Ajay, not to stereotype, but since you are Indian, I presume that you read often or are taking classes that require much reading. To be truthful, most of the words on the SAT seem to be words you’ve seen before but were too lazy to look up. Just read around…newspapers, magazines, internet articles, and if you see something you’re not sure about, look it up, because I kicked myself every time I saw a word I’ve read before but never bothered to check.
dude, im in 5th grade. i was answering some of those questions from my brothers SAT reasoning test today. trust me, they’re easy.
basically there are thousands of possible words they can choose from, your chances of either remembering all those, or choosing a couple dozen and happening to be tested on those select few are staggeringly small.
Of course it depends on how much time you have. But I didn’t have any probelms and I didn’t read word lists at all.
However I do read alot and have a good vocabulary. You might start reading some heavy books, and just look up the words that you come across, that would very likely do you better then to just read a word list.
the only section where you need a strong vocabulary is in critical reading. in the critical reading section, there’s a part called sentence completion, and theres around 18 of those.
i suggest you pick up a grubers sat book because most of the vocabulary in that book appears on the SAT. & yes it is possible to remember all the words on a list but it also depends on the amount of time you have and how you utilize that time.
I’d recommend that you do have a look at the vocabulory 400 words sumthing list atleast…………cuz if you are aiming at an above 2000 score………….you’ve got to have a kickass vocab
You can google for it. And the more you know, the better, but in any case, if you’re not a complete dunce, you can do well without reading anything. I know I did.
