its for a college admission essay and i need some suggestions about how i should answer this question. If you had a full day with no commitments, no homework, no home responsibilites, and only the money in your pocket, what would you do? Where would you go? Whom would you take with you?
The question is trying to get to what you like to do in your spare time – your hobbies and interests. So what do you like to do? Something artistic – drama, art, music, etc.? Something athletic – a sports team? Community service? Think of this in terms of the activities in which you would involve yourself when you get to college.
As far as whom you would bring with you, this is trying to get at who is important to you. Is it a family member, a friend that shares your interest, someone famous/an expert (i.e. if your interest in football, would you bring a famous football player).
Remember – there is no right answer. This is more about seeing how you write than about the content. And there are bunches and bunches of other things that determines whether or not you get into a college – transcripts, test scores, recommendations, etc. This is a small piece – don’t stress!
Show them who you are and write about what you like and you will do great! Good luck!
I would ask my soul to to send me where I could do the most good with what I had and where ever that would be. And do it with who ever else is supposed to be there with me. I would let the winds of chance carry my being on an unplanned adventure.
Then you should answer it honestly and truthfully and not someone else’s answer then you would be lying and that would not being honest with yourself, would it.
Buy a pack of smokes, grab a book and go to a park. Sit reading the books with the cigs sitting next to you and every time someone asks to bum one, tell them “Sure, if you’ll tell me a story”
I would spend some time alone reading for pleasure since I didn;t have to read any textbooks, and just enjoy the lack of stress. Later I might take a walk into town and stop for a coffee at my favourite cafe and chat with the regulars there who have become my friends. Next I’d walk a little further and sit in the park accross from the elementary school and watch the kids playing at recess time and remmeniss about my days as a child in school, and think about the fact that in a few short months my life is going to take an incredible turn. I’ll be a college student! Still in the park, listening to the children play, I’d think about college, and my future, and feel the butterflies in my stomach rising in excited nervousness. As the dinner time approaches I’d walk back home and call my best/girl/boy friend and ask if he/she wanted to come over and have a drink or two, watch some TV, and just relaxe. There aren’t many days that you can spend doing nothing that you don’t ‘have’ to do, so you have to take advantage of the ones that come along…because I know that before long, my life will be very busy, and quiet days spent alone or with a friend will be a treasured treat.
