Can I Take The Sat Reasoning Test In December As A Senior?
Is taking the SAT during December too late? I just got out of surgery and I missed my SAT on October 4th…and I need to take my SAT 2 Subjects during November so I was wondering if I can still take the SAT during December as a seniors because of college apps.
Like the first answerer said it depends on the college.
What you should do is go online to the websites of the colleges that you plan on applying to. Research when they want your SAT scores by what specific date for the type of application that you’re submitting (that shouldn’t be that hard to find, these days that stuff is easily accessible with the web). From there you can see when the college would receive your scores from the College Board when you register for an SAT test (you don’t have to pay to see how long it would take for a score report to get to them).
The only sufficient advice that I can give is the sooner that they’re taken the better (and since you were in operation today you might qualify for a fee waiver if you gave them proper notice that you weren’t going to be able to make it or you might even be able to take it on a make-up date coming up probably this coming weekend. Call the College Board’s Customer Service toll-free number for more information (I don’t have it off hand).
I too am a senior in high school. The issue here is that depending on your school of choice, you may or may not have time to send in the scores. What I recommend is that you sign up to have the scores sent directly from the college board to the schools, as this method best allows your schools to get the scores. Of course IF you ever boost your score or GPA, or even get some special award, I personally recommend that you send in some form of notification (official documents are recommended) to the schools in question, as the mailboxes of admissions offices do not just close the day after the deadline. You definitely have the opportunity to take the SAT, just remember that taking it to many times is often negative, and if your school is very strict on deadlines, or you apply early admission, you may not have the opportunity to prove yourself.
The short answer is to check each school, and perhaps call their admissions office, explain the situation, and listen to their advice.
Well now you kinda have to, but I wouldnt stress about it. All it depends on are the colleges you’re applying to, I know my college deadlines vary from november to january. It depends, you can check at collegeboard.com
Colleges normally need the scores by the end of December but it all depends on the college too
