When Do Students Take Their Sat & Act Tests? What Is The Point Of These Test?
I’ll be a Freshman this year and I was curious. I want to prepare.

First of all, huge props for wanting to prepare early! That’ll get you far! Both of these tests are to measure the general knowledge of basic subjects. However, the ACT is mainly used for college purposes [acceptance, etc.] Especially being a Freshman, I suggest start NOW and take the test at least once every year. By the time you’re ready to apply to college, they’ll always look at your ACT score [the highest being a 36] and based on that and gpa, you can get acceptance into a really good school, even scholarships!! Here are the websites for the SAT and ACT, you can go to both and get free study guides, test preps, tips, etc! :]
The ACT only scores you on answers you get CORRECT, by the way. So, always answer, even if you have to totally guess. Average scores I’d say would probably be between 18-23. BUT I’m not totally sure. Most college’s will give you scholarship opportunities with an ACT score of 25 or higher.

good luck!!!!
Why you ask? Because there both super important tests that colleges use to decide where to place you, or if you can attend their school to begin with. Some employers even ask for your test scores after you graduate from college, so you know they have to be taken seriously if one is to succeed in this world. The question that many often debate over is which one to take. SAT or ACT? Which test is gonna make me look good and get me into my top school? Which test is going to pave the road I plan on traveling down for the rest of my life? Well, settle down young one, your answers will soon be answered, as we take a peak into each test to see which one proves to be better than the other.
