Are Previous College Credits Required On The Admission Application To A New College?

Is it possible to start off fresh by not including previous college credits and just using my high school transcript when applying at a new school? Obviously, I will have to re-take any classes that I have already taken.

no, they’re not required. only if you plan to carry over the credits at your new school. you can just submit your high school transcripts and that’s perfectly fine.

No. It’d be nice…but, no. The reason is if you do leave off your previous colleges this could be considered “falsifying an application”. If your college discovered you left off a previous college they COULD dismiss you from their university.
If you’re worried about old grades it’s highly likely those grades won’t transfer and only the passing credits will. If you’re worried about your grades and not getting admitted…include a letter in your application explaining why your previous history wasn’t great. For example, you are changing to a major you’re better suited for or it’s possible you gained more insight and now realize the value of an education.
In short I wouldn’t go there. You could get into trouble in the long run and it could help you by including the previous colleges. Good luck!
