I graduated from high school 10 years ago from an african country and passed but did not pursue any further education. I now live in the U.S and thinking of going back to school but cant seem to get a college that will admit me based on the certificates from high school because they are too old. Will doing SAT’s help or do i have to sit for GED exams?

GED is like a high school diploma. If your previous HSD doesn’t meet the college standards [since this is america] then go for it.
SAT/ACT is good to take if you are entering a state college. Not a community college. It is up to you. I would and I did. Also, most colleges offer scholarships to students with good SAT or ACT scores. A SAT or ACT is require to just about every state college. At a community college you just take a placement test.
Sit down for both. Good luck.

I’m not sure I could do very well on SATs after 10 years.
Ask the colleges what they want.
You can go to a community college for 2 years and then transfer to a 4 year college.
