I’m don’t mean really big lies like it would never happen but just a couple of white lies to help make the essay seem a little more interesting…

Isn’t a college application essay supposed to be written about yourself? If you write white lies here and there, wouldn’t you project yourself to be a liar?
If you’re applying to state schools, your essay will almost never be read, and matter next to nothing. If you’re applying ivy-league or to a competitive undergrad (UCLA, Davis, something like that) then they might read it. I’m not recommending that you lie, but overall, it doesn’t matter. Colleges are easy to get into if you have decent grades and an okay SAT/ACT score.
Don’t lie.
Just exaggerate on the importance of what miniscule things you’ve done.
I wrote about how TaeKwon-Do signifies that learning never ends, in the sense that 1st degree black belt is just the beginning, as my instructors say.
I suck at TaeKwon-Do.
But I haven’t been rejected by a single school as of yet.
No, no, no.
Not a wise idea.
