How high do you think I can get my score seeing as I have 2 years of schooling until I take the SAT for college
PS This was a REAL SAT exam. I took it at Huntington Learning Center
1500 is right around average. So that’s pretty decent, especially seeing as how you haven’t taken your sophomore classes yet.
Go ahead and wait until your Junior year for your next one. To prepare, you should get “Cracking the SAT” by The Princeton Review. It’s an excellent book with great techniques for every section. They’re also the #1 test prep company in the country, so they have millions of dollars/hours to back up their techniques.
Good luck! Feel free to e-mail me here on Y! Answers if you think I can help you with anything else.
Is it 1500 out of 1600 or 2400? Those make a difference. I know my guidance counselor in high school had a chart that told me depending on my SAT score where I could apply. You could talk to yours and see what your options are.
If you don’t feel good with your score (if it’s out of 2400) then retake it. The second time I took the exam I got 150 points higher.
I think you could get your score up to at least 2000 in 2 years if you take plenty of practice tests and study the concepts you don’t understand so well. I took the SAT as an 8th grader and got 2050, so you should be able to get higher than that when you take it for college. =]
