		<description>It depends upon what you are really asking.  Most colleges have you take placement tests to see what specific level your math and English skills are at.  That way you don&#039;t take calculus if you can&#039;t count past 10 and you&#039;re not placed into a remedial math class if you can do calculus.  
The SATs are tests used to determine your eligibility into college.  So high (or low) SAT scores in math for example do not place you into a specific math level, ie, a 550 in the Math section of the SATs won&#039;t place you into Calculus, but if you&#039;ve had Calculus in high school you&#039;ll generally do better on the math portion of the SATs.</description>
