I Took The Sat Reasoning Test And This Is Confusing Me?

Is the top score 1600 or 2400. People are saying that the writing portion doesn’t count. I’m not talking about the essay but the multiple choice. Do you add the 3 together (Math+Critical Reading+Writing) or just Math and critical reading?
