What Does The Word ‘cutoff’ Mean With Reference To The Admission To A College?

Being a class XI student, I don’t understand this term ‘cutoff’. The cutoff for Delhi University is soon going to be out. Somebody please explain the meaning of this term. Thanks in advance.
